On this page you have the capability to contact Hampshire County Beekeeper's Association members that will come to the reported location to remove the swarm for you. Please do not spray with any toxic pesticides to kill the bees. They will not harm you if you do not disturb the swarm. Most "bee stings" are actually wasp stings. A honey bee will not harm you unless you threaten their home. Honey bees are very valuable to us for pollination, and we need to save each and every swarm that is found and reported. A swarm of bees is simply a hive of bees that has outgrown their old home and they are out looking for a new home. Just like us humans! A HCBA member can simply move the swarm to a safe location away from your property for you. You will not incur any liability for us to be on your property to remove the swarm. Just go get your video camera. Its not something that happens every day. Its a natural marvel and something you will indeed remember. If you go to youtube.com and search on "bee swarm" you will see exactly what to expect and you can also see videos of beekeepers easily removing and relocating swarms.

Just email or call any of the Hampshire County Beekeepers Association Officers listed on the Current HCBA Officers page for assistance. You may also look at the current member roster and select someone that is close to your location. You can also email the webmaster Steven Martin, stevenmartin@frontiernet.net, or call 304.822.3878.

There are many videos of bee swarms and their collection by beekeepers available for viewing on YouTube.com   Just put "bee swarm" in the search box
